About Homestay :- We welcome you to experience the magnificence of North Kodagu in a relaxing family oriented setting. Leave the City behind!

Nestled in the shade of cardamom and pepper vines and surrounded by the backwaters of the Harangi dam, Javamane is the perfect place for a family getaway. The cottage at Javamane is a traditionally styled Kodava bungalow that fits into the surroundings with ease. It is situated about 25 kms from Madikeri the district headquarters of Kodagu. The drive from Madikeri to Javamane is sure to be a memorable one as the sights of the mountain ranges (Western ghats) enroute are breathtaking.

When you arrive, you can sense the change in the air. There is a frisson of expectation. A kind of rhapsody envelops you even as you sense the serenity all around. At an altitude of 3500 ft, in the high ranges of interior Kodagu, lush, vibrant green is the predominant colour here. Welcome to Javamane Homestay in Coorg.

Facilities:-

Bon Fire:- Bonfires are part of a ritual of purification and consecration. In ancient times, cattle - important symbols of wealth and status, were led through the smoke of a bonfire. Couples who were to be wed on May Day would leap through the flames of the bonfire to seal their vows. Bonfires bring people together and here at Javamane you could enjoy the warmth of a lakeside bonfire.(cause here the evenings get very nippy)

Outdoor Dining:- Take advantage of Javamane’s chill days and breezy pleasant evenings and become one with nature as you feast on authentic naad food specially prepared in Kodava style by well trained in-house cooks.

Riverside Fishing and Boating : Cool off and relax in one of our boats. Sit back and cast off with a fishing boat. Let our boats take you and your family on a refreshing day on the backwaters of the Harangi’s, calm and torch rivers Or just kickback and picnic with a fishing rod riverside and wait for your catch.

Estate Trail & Trecking to Kotta Betta:- Visit the estate that circles Javamane and experience first hand the best of Indian coffee. You and your family will be accompanied by a guide who will answer all questions right from the type of soil that is suitable for coffee growth to the way it is processed.

If you are the adventurous sorts we also organize trecks to Kotte Betta - a 3 hour hour walk on a challenging terrain.

Cuisine: Authentic naad food Kodava style.
